Chapter 11

Chapter 11

Head in the Clouds

I’m just joshing with you Matt.” Said Michael. “Aurkus. I was not fond of his attitude, but one of my lovely Dragons, I don’t want to part with. And my friend, you surely would win.” How did he know this? I thought. Could he sense power levels? Or was it just a guess. Those J.D.’s were ten times his size. I hope I don’t have to, but maybe one day I will get to see Matt’s true power.
We said our goodbyes, and made our way out of the temple. After taking our first step outside the Lightsworn area, I stared at the blimp ad thought of something peaceful. It was as if some part of me wished that she were there. Standing at the highest point of the city, waving, and blowing a kiss. I didn’t have a lot of time to think of Burstinitrix the last few days, so it was nice to take a moment.
“I can’t wait to see her again.” I looked to Matt and he smiled.
“I’m glad you have someone to give you inspiration.” He replied.
“I got a girl back home too. Lance. I mean Nance.” Said a puffy white stranger.
“Hey dude? Did you just say Lance?” I replied with a grin.
“I said Nance!” He spoke with shrewdness. He was a Marshmallon of the fairy kind. “Hi. I’m Jeremy.”
“Hello Jeremy. I’m Levi and this is Matt. Where are you from?”
“Why I am from a village in the clouds. Outerds call it ‘The Sanctuary in the Sky.’ It’s kind of a vacation spot.”
I’m sorry did you say, ‘Outerds?
I’m not sure I am familiar with that term.” Matt intervened.
Jeremy then gave me a very long and detailed speech about what Outerds really meant. “Basically, the word Outerd means Outsider.
It kind of sounds like something you do in a lavatory” Said Matt.
“Jeremy, can I call you Thompson?” I asked.
“Well that is something I can accept.” Just then, he yanked my necklace from me and quickly inflated himself. He then started to float into the sky.
“Hey! Give that back Thompson! You noob!” I yelled into the sky.
“You have to come find me first!” he yelled back in a noobish way.
“I swear, when I find that noob I am gonna slap him silly.” I shook my fist at him.
Zoom! Suddenly, I was flying through the air. Matt had picked me up and chucked me like a bullet. I flew right into a small blimp and ripped a hole clean through the other side. I began to lose momentum. As I arched my way downwards, I softly landed on the biggest blimp in the city. My shaky legs picked me up and I smacked the little clouds off my clothes. I was afraid to lose my balance so I barely leaned forward to look over the edge of the blimp. The smaller one I had ripped through on my way up had lost all of its air and was spiraling downBoom! It exploded with a small mushroom cloud.
Ohhhhh, we are so dead.”
Matt jumped straight off of the ground and onto the side of a large building. Like a ricochet, he landed on a ladder that was hanging off a blimp, kicked off the bottom rung, and sent the blimp into a barrel roll. It barely stopped spinning before smacking into a large sky needle. He landed right beside me, and said,
“That was so close bro.” Before I could close my mouth, he lifted me up again. “Bon voyage.”
“No wait! I screamed at the top of my lungs, but it was already too late. I flew right through some clouds, and landed on a platform made of stone. Matt was right on my tail
“Wow.” I unsteadily uttered. “Just, wow.”
I looked back at the clouds that we had just flown through, and noticed some shaking cloud fists and some obscene gestures. It looked like the flock of sheep cloud were giving me an evil glare, because I had started an updraft. The big one, Nimbusman, was shaking his fist and muttering some rude language. Altus was laughing in a dopey way at the Cirrostratus who was twirling in the updraft. Then the smallest three Cloudian - Smoke Ball came up to me and said,
“We forgive you Uncle Sylvan.” With a big smile on their faces.
“Um, thank you boys. But I’m not your uncle.”
Whatever you say Uncle Sylvan.” As small children do, they began to argue about where to begin their detective work
“I feel like I have seen that before. Kids with red, blue, and green. I don’t know where though.” I shrugged my shoulders.
“Yeah, I’m pretty sure they said something about you swimming in your gold money bin while they were arguing. Do you have a gold money bin?” Replied Matt.
“What? No. I wish.”
The sanctuary looks old and beaten down, but it was alive and jumping. Everyone was walking through the market, shopping while chatting it up. In the blink of an eye, a creepy little man with a long nose ran up and ripped open his trench coat.
Wood you like to buy soome gooods?”
“Geez!” I yelled and shielded my eyes from the naked horror.
They are not stolen, I swear. I am a Vassal froom the valley of Necro. My woord is goold.”
“No thanks sir Vassal. Just close your dang coat man! Nobody wants to see that.” I replied.
Suuit yourself, but it’s your loss.”
“I will take that loss any day of the week bro.” Said Matt.
“In a heartbeat.”
Matt picked out Jeremy at the other end of the street. We struggled to get through the crowd quickly. Jeremy was already outside of the crowds grasp and running straight for the outdoor theater.
Let’s get him.”
As soon as we ran in, we lost sight of him. The theater was packed full of all sorts of monsters. There were Dragons, Warriors, Beasts, and many more. A colorful woman in the front picked up the mic.
“Its time to begin our show for you all today.”
“Hey Matt look.” I pointed to a beautiful maiden in a frilled dress. That’s one of the Melodious Divas. This is gonna be so awesome!” I finally get to see the city, and now I get to see the Divas again. This was great! Shopina the Maestra, (Maestra is the female version of the Maestro, which means teacher) and Mozarta the other Maestra, worked together to create this beautiful team of divas. Soprana the songstress and her crew, which consisted of Solo, Score, and Opera, were the singers. Tamtam was on percussion, and the rest were floating in the air all around center stage: Aria, Serenade, Cannon, Elegy, and Sonata. They floated over the crowd while using their powers to create the most beautiful songs in all of the land of Yu-Gi-Oh.
Jeremy was sitting in the very back of the crowd behind a very large Buten. An adorably chubby pink pig with tiny wings, but was very much in the way of getting to that noob Thompson. I put my hands around my mouth for a megaphone effect, and yelled, “Hootywho!” the majority of the crowd heard it and scattered. The Buten shot out so fast, I blinked and he was gone. Before I knew it, Matt had grabbed Marshmallon by the back of his neck.
“I got him by the gibletQuick, grab your necklace!” said Matt.
I bet you can guess what I did. Yep, I tried to grab the necklace, slipped and fell right on my face. It was not gracefully either. However, when Jeremy saw me slip, he tried to escape, but before he could, Matt whispered in his ear,
“Continue if you want to find out how being banished feels.”
Gulp!” Jeremy froze, and then threw the necklace to me in fear.
“I should banish you Jeremy.” Said Matt.
“That’s it. I scoop,” replied Jeremy. He then proceeded to melt right through Matt’s fingers into a crack in the floor.
“I hope he falls right through the whole city.” Said Matt.
“Thank you Franz.” I replied.
In an instant, a new show started to emerge. The people settled down and returned to their seats.
“Come one, come all! To the highlight of your lives! The Performapal show is about to begin! Have a seat folks, and I will tell a tale of mysteriousness and wonder.” Said the Lizardraw, as we found a seat.
Bubbles started appearing all over the stadium. They were very large, with rainbow stars and sparkles inside of them. It was almost like a barrier in front of the stage. Then, balloons came up from behind the stage, but they seemed to be an illusion. They were very bright and colorful, with different designs on each one.
“I like the yellow one with blue hearts mommy,” said a baby Sinister Serpent. So very cute, but creepy as all get out. A small pond formed in the middle of the stage. I don’t really remember what the Lizardraw was saying, because the show was so extravagant. Out jumped two monsters, both dove towards the pond. The Skeeter Skimmer landed on top of the water and used its legs to float on the surface. The second one was a swordfish. It dove in and splashed the crowd. All but one guy sitting in the middle of the splash zone. He didn’t even get a drop.
Ahhhh, Come on!” he said as he threw his hat on the ground.
The watery duo put on a performance like no other. There were plenty of splashes, ooohh’s, and aaahhh’s. Next, the second act was up. It was a little different. The pond went back into the stage, and out came Trampolynx, an Elephammer, and the wild one, a Silver Claw. The Elephammer was keeping the Silver Claw in line by using the squeaky hammer on the end of his trunk. He squeaked the hammer and the Silver Claw began doing backflips. With one more squeak, the Silver claw jumped to the Trampolynx, and continued his flipping routine.
The final act of the show appeared to be a Friendonkey, but it had gotten dark, so it was hard to see. A Drummerilla started a drum roll, as a Cheermole started to cheer. A huge spotlight hit the Friendonkey, and lo and behold, the Ojama trio was sitting on its back. It had no idea. The poor thing started bucking when they began jumping up and down on its back. Then the yellow Ojama smacked the Friendonkey’s butt repeatedly. Everyone was still applauding, but Matt and I knew this was very bad. As soon as everyone realized who was on the Friendonkey, a panic had stirred. They all began screaming and stumbling
“Leave now, or suffer the consequences!” yelled a being of red riding a Pegasus. I opened up my journal in a flash, and the picture of that certain Pegasus was Number 44, a Sky Pegasus; riding it was the Agent of Force – Mars. One of the many Agents of the Fairy world (they were kind of like the police force of The Sanctuary in the Sky). The Ojamas jumped towards us like lightening and landed in a pyramid formation. It was the Ojama Delta Hurricane.
“Get down!” said Matt.
I dove for a flagpole, but missed. In a millisecond, the stadium was empty. Matt and I were thrown from the floating city, along with the crowd. We rocketed towards the ground, straight through the Cloudians. We were watching the rest of the monsters fall right out of the sky with us. Luckily, most of them were fairies with wings. They caught themselves and began grabbing the non-flyers in the air to save them. My necklace sparkled, and began to vibrate. It let out a blast of the purest light I had ever seen. Judgment Dragon the size of a horse appeared from the beam of light. He let out a ferocious roar and swooped into the air below me. I wrapped my hands in his feathers, and rode him into the wind like a Sonic Bird. We shot down below Matt. Just before he smacked into the street, we managed to catch him. After we became stable, I opened my journal and looked to the map of the northern hemisphere of Yu-Gi-Oh. I pointed my finger to a spot in the west,
Ah, there it is. The Ojama Country.
